Zomato CEO clarifies aviation startup LAT hasn’t bought a jet; hints at future possibility with a wink
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has denied recent reports claiming he purchased a private jet through a startup he backs. The clarification comes after a Moneycontrol report suggested that LAT Aerospace, an aviation startup linked to Goyal, had acquired a Bombardier Global jet, now parked at Delhi airport.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Goyal called the report “clickbaity” and stated, “LAT is a startup focused on building planes for regional aviation – not buying them.” While dismissing the current ownership, Goyal playfully responded “One day” to a comment suggesting he should own a Gulfstream G650, sparking speculation about future ambitions.
The timing of the report raised eyebrows as it followed Goyal’s recent purchase of a ₹52.3 crore luxury apartment in Gurugram’s DLF Camellias. While Goyal maintains he does not currently own a jet, his brief response has kept fans and followers curious.
With a net worth of $1.6 billion, according to Forbes, the idea of private luxury isn’t far-fetched but for now, Goyal’s feet remain firmly on the ground.
