War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, has become one of the most talked-about upcoming films in Indian cinema. Just a day after its trailer dropped, fans and industry insiders are buzzing over its grand visuals and international-level action. Slated for release on Independence Day weekend in 2025, the film is part of the YRF Spy Universe and promises a cinematic spectacle with six unique action sequences.

According to trade sources, War 2 is YRF’s most expensive and ambitious project yet, made on a massive budget of ₹400 crore surpassing Tiger 3 (₹350 crore) and Pathaan (₹325 crore). This amount doesn’t even include the marketing and promotional costs.

Jr. NTR has reportedly been paid ₹70 crore, while Hrithik Roshan is earning ₹50 crore upfront, along with a share of the profits. Kiara Advani has been paid ₹15 crore, and Anil Kapoor is taking home ₹10 crore. The total talent fees alone amount to ₹150 crore. Director Ayan Mukerji has also received ₹30 crore for helming the project. The remaining ₹220 crore has been used to create the film’s grand scale and next-level visuals. War 2 hits theatres on August 14, 2025, and expectations are sky-high.
