YouTuber-turned-actor Trisha Paytas is turning her attention to politics. The 37-year-old influencer revealed she is considering a 2026 congressional bid in California. She lives there with her husband Moses Hacmon and their three children. Trisha shared the news in a video titled 2026 MANIFESTATIONS uploaded on January 5. Filming from her car, she said, “I would love to run for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.” She added the idea “came to me in a dream” and that she wants to make a real difference.

Trisha later shared a TikTok expanding on her plans. Becoming a mother in 2022 changed her perspective. “I never thought of myself as political until I started having kids,” she said. She added that the world could be disastrous by the time her children grow up. The dream to represent California felt vivid, she said. She is already researching the process of running for Congress. This includes filing nomination papers or collecting signatures to appear on the ballot.
Campaign Goals for Trisha Paytas Run Congress
If she runs officially in November 2026, Trisha must file a declaration of candidacy. She will need to pay a $1,740 fee or gather the required signatures by March 6. She could also run as a write-in candidate. However, she would need a top-two finish in the primary to advance. Trisha said she wants to raise the minimum age for the adult entertainment industry to 25. Her campaign slogan could be: “California could be good. It could be good. Just need a better system for everyone.”
A Busy Year Ahead for Trisha Paytas
Trisha’s political plans come amid a busy schedule. She recently completed a three-week Broadway run in Beetlejuice, marking her stage debut. She is also set to appear in HBO’s Euphoria season three this spring. Previously, she expressed political opinions across party lines. In 2012, she endorsed Mitt Romney and in 2016, Donald Trump. She later retracted support in 2019. Her announcement has created a stir online, as fans await updates on whether she will officially file for Congress.
