A photo showing Saurabh More, an employee of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), lying on the pavement outside the company’s Sahyadri Park office in Pune has sparked widespread attention. More, who was seen using a bag as a pillow and had a handwritten letter beside him, said he was forced to sleep on the footpath because he hadn’t been paid his salary. The image, shared on social media, quickly gained thousands of reactions and ignited discussions about employee treatment and salary delays.

In his letter, More explained that despite returning to work on July 29, his access to TCS’s internal systems remained blocked, and his salary was withheld. He raised the issue with HR but received no response, which left him with no choice but to live outside the office premises. TCS responded by calling it a case of unauthorized absence and said payroll was suspended as per company policy.
The company confirmed More has now returned to work, provided him accommodation, and is working to resolve the matter fairly. The incident has drawn mixed reactions online, with some criticizing TCS for abandoning its values, while employee groups urged formal reporting alongside protests to ensure accountability. This situation has highlighted deeper concerns about employee rights and internal processes within major firms.
