Music composer Tanishk Bagchi recently opened up about the emotional journey behind the title track Saiyaara, featuring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. He shared that the song was created during a particularly difficult time in his life when he was struggling with depression, despite having career success. He revealed he was on daily medication and battling sleeplessness, feeling an unexplained emptiness.

In a heartfelt interview, Tanishk explained that the pain wasn’t his alone lyricist Arslan Nizami was dealing with family issues, Faheem Abdullah had exam stress, and director Mohit Suri also shared his struggles. All of them channeled their personal hardships into the song, which, he believes, gave Saiyaara its emotional depth and authenticity.
Tanishk said they never intended to create a hit; their only goal was honesty and simplicity. When the track was complete, he found himself listening to it repeatedly, and for the first time, one of his own compositions began to heal him. That’s when he knew the song would resonate with others too.
