Singapore Police have granted permission to the Assam Special Investigation Team (SIT) to visit the country and carry forward the probe into singer Zubeen Garg’s mysterious death. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the development, stating that the SIT would soon travel to Singapore to collect crucial evidence and question individuals connected to the case.
Meanwhile, tension gripped parts of Assam as violence broke out during the transfer of the accused in the Zubeen Garg case. Protesters clashed with security forces, prompting authorities to impose prohibitory orders under Section 144 to prevent further unrest.

Police said the situation is now under control, but security has been tightened in sensitive areas to maintain law and order. Several people have reportedly been detained in connection with the violence.
The state government has urged citizens -he investigation to proceed smoothly. The SIT is expected to coordinate closely with Singapore authorities to ensure a transparent and thorough probe.
