After creating massive buzz with Sikandar (2025), Bollywood megastar Salman Khan is now ready to take his fans on another thrilling ride with his upcoming war drama, Battle Of Galwan. The film’s first look has already captivated audiences, showing Salman in a never-seen-before, intense military avatar. But while fans expected a traditional Eid release something that has long been a Salman signature there’s now confirmation that Battle Of Galwan won’t hit theatres on Eid 2026.

According to a trusted source from Bollywood Hungama, the makers have deliberately avoided the Eid release window due to intense box office competition. As of now, three major films are scheduled for March 19, 2026 Yash’s Toxic, Dhamaal 4, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Although there’s speculation that Love & War may shift its date, Salman Khan and his team are known for playing fair and avoiding unnecessary release clashes.

“Currently, the team is considering two possible release windows for Battle Of Galwan January 2026 or June 2026,” the source revealed. “Ramzan begins in late February, so that rules out a March-April release. Also, Bakri Eid on May 27 is too close to the IPL finale on May 31, which could affect footfalls.”

Another insider added, “The shoot is expected to wrap up in around 55-60 days, which means January is still a viable option. If post-production takes longer, then June 2026 will likely be finalized.”

Despite the absence of a festive release date, expectations are sky-high. Salman Khan’s star power has rarely relied on festivals alone films like Wanted, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Sultan have shown that his fan base turns out in huge numbers, holiday or not.
