Russia Ready to Mediate Talks After Iran Lists 4 Key Demands for Ceasefire With US, Israel

As the US-Israel-Iran war continues with no clear end in sight, Russia has offered to mediate peace talks to help restore stability in the region. The move comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin called for a quick end to hostilities and said Moscow remains ready to assist in shifting the conflict toward diplomacy. Reports said Putin continues to stay in touch with regional leaders as tensions escalate across West Asia.

Kremlin Says Putin in Contact With Regional Leaders

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Putin has maintained active communication with leaders in the region. He told reporters that Russia stands prepared to contribute if its support becomes necessary. “The president is continuing these contacts,” Peskov said, adding that Russia is ready to help ensure the military situation moves toward a peaceful course as soon as possible. Russian state agency Interfax also quoted Putin saying Moscow is willing to help restore peace.

Iran’s Envoy Lists 4 Demands for Ceasefire

Meanwhile, Iran has outlined four key demands that it wants the United States and Israel to accept before any ceasefire becomes possible. Speaking to Russian news agency TASS, Iranian envoy to Russia Kazem Jalali said Tehran expects a complete halt to aggression and terrorist attacks. Iran also wants credible guarantees that the war will not restart. In addition, it has demanded full compensation for material and moral damages. Iran’s fourth condition calls for respect for its legal jurisdiction in the Strait of Hormuz to ensure maritime security.

Russia Denies Claims of Helping Iran Attack US Bases

The report also highlighted claims from US media that Russia may have assisted Iran with intelligence support, including satellite imagery related to American military bases in the Gulf. Some reports also alleged that Moscow supplied drone technology. US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth recently hinted that the US is monitoring Russia and China’s involvement. However, the Kremlin has rejected these accusations and called them “fake news.”
