Sharing a photo from her flight, she captioned it: “New beginnings… to rise and fly again against all odds… to pick up and start all over, new resolve towards greater strength.” Describing the somber atmosphere onboard, she wrote, “The atmosphere solemn and the crew’s welcoming smiles, tinted with sadness. The silent passengers and crew bonding with unspoken condolences and subtle confidence.”
Tandon concluded her emotional tribute by expressing deep sympathy for the victims and their families. “A wound that will never heal. Godspeed always @airindia. Fearless and a will to overcome and be strong again,” she wrote, acknowledging the courage and strength displayed by the airline staff and fellow passengers in the wake of the disaster.
The emotional post comes in the aftermath of the devastating crash of Air India Flight AI171 on June 12, shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad. The London-bound aircraft tragically lost altitude and crashed into a densely populated residential area of Meghani Nagar, claiming the lives of 241 people on board, including nationals from India, the UK, Portugal, and Canada. Rescue efforts are still underway, and authorities continue to investigate the cause of the incident.
