Rashmika Mandanna, Vijay Deverakonda tie the knot in Udaipur
Finally, the much-awaited day has arrived. Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda tied the knot at 8 am on February 26 in Udaipur. Notably, they followed traditional Telugu Hindu rituals to honour Vijay’s heritage.
Later in the evening, they will host a Kodava ceremony to celebrate Rashmika’s roots. Meanwhile, guests gathered early to witness the grand celebration. Most importantly, Rashmika made a stunning entry. She walked down a mountain and left everyone speechless. As a result, the ceremony turned deeply emotional.
Earlier, festivities began with cricket and music
Earlier this week, the couple launched their celebrations with the “Virosh Premiere League,” a friendly cricket match. Soon after, on February 24, they hosted their Sangeet ceremony. During the event, Vijay’s friends performed to his hit songs. Additionally, his mother gifted Rashmika heirloom bangles.
Moreover, the couple danced to Inkem Inkem Inkem Kaavaale from Geetha Govindam, their first film together. At the same time, the décor showcased unseen photographs from their journey. Consequently, the night became unforgettable for guests.
Thereafter, Haldi and Mehendi added vibrant colour
On February 25, Rashmika and Vijay celebrated their Haldi ceremony. As expected, yellow and pink flowers decorated the venue. Meanwhile, paper cut-outs displayed “Vijay” and “Rushie.” In addition, a playful poster featured Rashmika’s Cocker Spaniel Aura and Vijay’s Husky Storm in sunglasses.
Later that evening, the couple enjoyed their Mehendi ceremony. Soon afterward, they prepared for their early morning wedding. Following the ceremony, the family distributed sweets to paparazzi outside. Interestingly, the Kaju Katli boxes carried Rashmika’s photo.
Finally, a star-studded gathering
Close friends and family attended the intimate wedding. Among them were filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, actor-director Rahul Ravindran, actor Eesha Rebba, comedian Zakir Khan and stylist Shravya Varma.
