Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has heaped praise on Dhurandhar, calling it his “current favourite movie.” The actor expressed his admiration for the film during a live interaction with fans on Saturday through his lifestyle brand, Ark.

During the session, a fan asked Ranbir about his most-loved recent film. Without hesitation, he named Dhurandhar and applauded the entire team for delivering a memorable cinematic experience.

“The last, current favourite movie was Dhurandhar. Absolutely loved that film. I think the entire cast and crew smashed it. Really good times at the movies,” Ranbir said.

A Big Boost for Ranveer Singh’s Blockbuster

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features Ranveer Singh in the lead role as an undercover Indian spy operating in Pakistan’s Lyari region. The high-octane thriller revolves around his mission to dismantle a dangerous terror network targeting India.

Ranbir’s endorsement adds to the film’s growing list of admirers from the industry. Several prominent figures, including Karan Johar and Ram Gopal Varma, have also praised the film publicly.

Meanwhile, Eternal Sunshine Productions, associated with Alia Bhatt, celebrated the movie’s historic box office success on social media, calling it “the voice and choice of today’s India.”

Record-Breaking Box Office Performance

Dhurandhar has emerged as one of the biggest commercial successes in Bollywood history. The film reportedly grossed over ₹1300 crore worldwide and became the first Hindi movie to cross ₹1000 crore at the domestic box office.

Alongside Ranveer, the film stars Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan in key roles.

Sequel and Future Projects

Fans are now eagerly waiting for the sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026. Ranveer Singh will reprise his role, joined once again by Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan. The film is set to clash with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, starring Yash.

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in Animal and has major projects lined up, including Ramayana and Love and War.
