During the shoot of Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Dhurandhar in Ladakh, a major health scare forced the team to halt work after more than 120 crew members fell ill, reportedly due to food poisoning. The incident took place on August 17 at Pathar Sahib in Leh, where a large portion of the unit had been filming. According to officials quoted by Mid-Day, over a hundred crew members had to be admitted to Sajal Narbbu Memorial Hospital after they complained of severe stomach pain, vomiting, and headaches shortly after their meal. Out of the nearly 600 people who were served food that day, around 120 required urgent medical attention. There were also unconfirmed reports that a few workers experienced heart-related complications, which added to the concern.

Health authorities have since collected food samples for testing to determine what caused the contamination. Until then, the production has temporarily suspended shooting.

Dhurandhar is Ranveer Singh’s first film with director Aditya Dhar, known for Uri: The Surgical Strike. The movie promises an intense narrative of betrayal, courage, and hidden battles fought in secrecy. The cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. The film is set to release worldwide on December 5, 2025.
