OpenAI has officially launched the o3-pro model for ChatGPT Pro and Teams users, delivering major improvements in performance and functionality. In a post on X, the company stated that expert evaluations consistently rated the o3-pro model higher than its predecessor, o3, especially in critical areas like science, education, programming, data analysis, and writing. This marks a significant upgrade for users relying on ChatGPT for advanced tasks.
The company further noted that reviewers found the OpenAI o3-pro model to be superior in clarity, comprehensiveness, instruction-following, and accuracy—key benchmarks for high-performing AI systems. Starting Wednesday, the o3-pro model will o3-pro for all ChatGPT Pro and Team users. Enterprise and Education users will receive access to the new model next week, as part of OpenAI’s continued rollout across its ecosystem.
Beyond improved conversational capabilities, the ChatGPT o3-pro model supports web browsing, file analysis, image interpretation, Python execution, and personalized responses using memory.
