Megha Agarwal Resigns as Meesho CXO with ₹2.29 Crore Salary
E-commerce major Meesho announced on January 7 that Megha Agarwal, Chief Experience Officer (Business), has resigned. However, the company did not provide a reason for her exit. It also said it would disclose more details “at an appropriate time.” Meanwhile, Meesho has not confirmed whether it has identified a successor. This leadership change comes at a critical moment as the company adjusts to life after its December 2025 IPO.
Who is Megha Agarwal?
Megha Agarwal joined Meesho in September 2019 and worked with the company for over six years. During this time, she held several leadership roles, including chief of staff, vice president and general manager – user growth, and CXO-growth. In October 2023, she became CXO (Business). In addition, Agarwal earned a BTech in Electrical Engineering (Power) from IIT Delhi and a master’s degree in management from INSEAD. Before joining Meesho, she worked at A.T. Kearney Consulting (India) and Nomura Financial Advisory & Securities (India).

Compensation and Contributions
In FY25, Agarwal earned ₹2.29 crore, which included a variable pay of ₹9.4 lakh for FY24, paid in FY25. She significantly contributed to Meesho’s growth, strategy, and business operations. Notably, analysts say executive exits attract attention, especially in tech firms that recently went public. As a result, her departure is viewed as a key leadership change while the company navigates investor expectations and competition in India’s e-commerce sector.
Meesho’s Growth and IPO Context
Meesho, founded by Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Kumar, operates an asset-light e-commerce platform connecting consumers, sellers, logistics partners, and content creators. In addition, the platform focuses on affordable fashion, home and kitchen products, beauty, and lifestyle items. Its IPO in December 2025 was fully subscribed on the first day, offering shares at ₹111 each and valuing the company at $5.6 billion. Subsequently, Agarwal’s exit marks an important leadership shift as Meesho continues to expand in India’s value-driven e-commerce market.
