Day 7 Earnings Show Decline
Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3, produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Abhiraj Minwala, has seen a gradual drop in domestic collections. As per early estimates from Sacnilk.com, the film earned ₹1.85 crore on day 7. Consequently, its total earnings in India now stand at ₹26.30 crore nett. Written by Aayush Gupta, the film follows SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy investigating the disappearance of 93 girls over three months.
On opening weekend, Mardaani 3 showed strong numbers. Day 1 earned ₹4 crore, day 2 ₹6.25 crore, and day 3 ₹7.25 crore. However, collections slowed with day 4 at ₹2.25 crore, day 5 at ₹2.60 crore, and day 6 at ₹2.10 crore. Nevertheless, the film retained audiences due to Rani Mukerji’s performance and the franchise’s loyal fan base.
Critics Praise Rani Mukerji’s Performance
The Hindustan Times review stated, “Mardaani 3 may not reinvent the franchise, but it reinforces why it matters.” Moreover, the review highlighted Rani Mukerji’s commanding screen presence. It added that the film addresses social issues as a grim reality, not a spectacle. “The film refuses to look away from crimes against women and children,” the review said.
As a result, audiences have appreciated the film’s mix of thrill and social relevance. Rani Mukerji’s performance anchors the story. Therefore, Mardaani 3 continues to maintain visibility despite declining collections.

Mardaani 3: Continuing the Franchise Legacy
Mardaani 3 is the third installment after Mardaani (2014) by Pradeep Sarkar and Mardaani 2 by Gopi Puthran. Each film explores serious social issues. In contrast, the third installment focuses on missing girls. The story is suspenseful, socially relevant, and keeps the franchise’s reputation intact.
Alongside Rani Mukerji, the film stars Janki Bodiwala and Mallika Prasad. Additionally, with its combination of action, suspense, and social commentary, Mardaani 3 remains a significant release. It continues to draw audiences interested in issue-driven cinema, despite a gradual box office decline.
