In a recent interview, politician Mahua Moitra revealed a surprising and endearing side of herself by confessing that she has a major crush on actor Pankaj Tripathi. Known for her fiery presence in Parliament, Mahua shared that she admires Tripathi’s acting so much that she once wrote him a note asking to meet for coffee. The note was passed along through a journalist who was about to interview him, but Mahua later found out that Tripathi lives in Alibaug and rarely meets people for coffee.
She spoke fondly about his roles in Mirzapur and Gangs of Wasseypur, saying she loved how convincingly he played the “mean bad” characters. She also mentioned enjoying films like Vicky Donor and the Munnabhai series. Mahua was so shy about reaching out that she even asked fellow MP and actor Ravi Kishan to help her get in touch. Ravi eventually arranged a phone conversation between them, though Mahua was so nervous she forgot she had even written the note.
Meanwhile, Pankaj Tripathi remains one of the most respected actors in the industry. He was recently seen in Metro… In Dino, and will soon return as Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur: The Film. He’s also part of Stree 3 and an upcoming film set in Bihar.
