Mahesh Bhatt recently praised his daughter Alia Bhatt for becoming a self-made star in Bollywood, highlighting her unique drive and willingness to take risks in her career. In a conversation with Himanshu Mehta, the filmmaker shared how Alia continues to impress him, both as an artist and as a person. He mentioned that he was initially surprised to discover her passion for acting, especially since even Karan Johar recognized her talent early on.
Mahesh also spoke about the changes he’s noticed in Alia since she became a mother, saying she has developed a new depth and maturity. He described this phase as a different kind of coming-of-age for her.
When asked about what Ranbir Kapoor thinks of Alia, Mahesh said Ranbir finds her ambition remarkable. “He’s laid-back and takes things easy, but Alia is a go-getter who always wants to do more,” Mahesh explained.
Alia and Ranbir, who dated briefly before marrying in an intimate ceremony in 2022, recently welcomed their daughter, Raha.
Alia’s upcoming projects include the action-packed film Alpha, part of the YRF Spy Universe, releasing on December 25, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
