Beyond The Bluff, excitement remains high for SS Rajamouli’s next directorial, Varanasi, slated for a Sankranthi 2027 release. The action-adventure film stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Prakash Raj. Rajamouli officially announced the project in November 2025, despite it going on floors earlier that year. Mahesh plays Rudhra, while Priyanka essays Mandakini. Touted as a globe-trotting adventure rooted in Indian mythology, Varanasi is expected to be one of Indian cinema’s biggest upcoming spectacles.
