The official schedule for the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 has been released, with a highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan set for October 5 at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. This marquee match will take place at a neutral venue under the hybrid model adopted by the ICC, which was previously used for the Champions Trophy, following India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan for ICC events.

India will kick off their World Cup campaign on September 30 against Sri Lanka at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The stadium is also scheduled to host several key matches throughout the tournament. Notably, this is the same venue where a tragic stampede occurred during a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) event earlier, raising concerns about crowd control and safety.
Apart from Bengaluru and Colombo, matches will be held across various Indian venues including Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, and Indore, ensuring wide national coverage and fan engagement. The ICC has structured the tournament to accommodate political sensitivities while maintaining the integrity of the fixtures and ensuring player safety.
