Gen Z Backing BJP’s Development Model, Says PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said Indians have embraced the BJP’s development model. Notably, he stressed that Gen Z voters now show strong trust in the party. Modi addressed a large public rally in Malda, West Bengal. According to him, recent election results reflect this growing confidence. As elections approach, Modi used the rally to underline the BJP’s national momentum. Moreover, he said young voters prefer performance-driven politics over empty promises.
BMC and Thiruvananthapuram Wins Highlight BJP’s Growth
During his address, PM Modi pointed to major civic victories across the country. In particular, he called the BJP’s win in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation historic. Earlier, the party secured a record performance in one of the world’s largest civic bodies. Additionally, Modi highlighted the BJP’s breakthrough in Thiruvananthapuram, where it won its first mayoral post. According to Modi, these results prove the party’s expanding acceptance nationwide.

‘Impossible Seats Are Turning Possible,’ Says PM
Moreover, the prime minister said voter confidence in the BJP continues to rise. As a result, he told the Bengal crowd that “impossible seats” now support the party. Meanwhile, Modi said this shift shows trust among voters and the younger generation. At the same time, he sharpened his political message for the state. Modi coined the slogan “Paltano darkar, chayee BJP sarkar.” Finally, he described it as a clear call for change in West Bengal.
Development Push Alongside Political Message
Alongside politics, Modi focused on development initiatives. Earlier in the day, he flagged off India’s first Vande Bharat sleeper train between Howrah and Guwahati. Additionally, the prime minister launched rail and road projects worth ₹3,250 crore. As part of the push, these projects aim to boost connectivity in West Bengal and the North East. Finally, Modi said infrastructure growth remains central to the BJP’s governance vision.
