Shahid Kapoor’s film on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been officially shelved, director Amit Rai confirmed in a recent interview. Known for OMG 2, Amit expressed frustration over the film industry’s harsh system, where even successful directors face constant challenges.

Amit shared that despite making a Rs 180 crore film, the system’s casting and management hurdles make it difficult to work. He also mentioned that actors like Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar showed interest in his upcoming project, praising their honesty compared to others who prefer safer, commercial roles.
