Conservative activist Charlie Kirk was fatally shot Wednesday in what officials described as a targeted assassination during a student event at Utah Valley University. The 31-year-old, co-founder of Turning Point USA and ally of President Donald Trump, was struck by a single bullet in front of roughly 3,000 attendees. Authorities said the motive remains unclear, but investigators are now pursuing a new person of interest after two men initially detained were cleared of involvement.
