Ashish Kumar, who played the plain clothes cop in The Ba**ds Of Bollywood*, left a strong impression despite appearing in just one scene. In an exclusive chat, he shared how his journey began after sending his photos to casting director Nandini Shrikent. Aryan Khan personally appreciated his audition and explained the role, ensuring every shot was perfect during rehearsals.
Ashish revealed that Aryan was extremely humble and never lost his cool, no matter how many retakes were needed. He treated everyone with respect and worked like a true professional. “He talked like a friend and was very chilled out,” Ashish recalled, praising Aryan’s focus on perfection and teamwork on set.
Speaking about Red Chillies Entertainment, Ashish praised the production house for its professionalism. “They paid even before the scheduled time and treated me with great respect,” he said, appreciating the team, especially executive producer Bonnie Jain, for their smooth coordination and warm attitude.
Before entering acting, Ashish studied engineering in Bhopal but always dreamed of being an actor. From theatre in Bharat Bhavan to workshops with Neeraj Kabi and others, his journey was full of struggle and learning. Despite family pressure and financial hardships, his passion never faded — leading him back to Mumbai in 2021, where he finally landed The Ba**ds Of Bollywood* in 2023.
