Border 2 Sees Strong Uptick on Day 9

The war drama Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, continued its strong box office run during its second weekend. The film has crossed ₹350 crore worldwide, fueled by a sharp jump in domestic ticket sales on Saturday. Officials report that audience interest remains high, driving repeat viewership in urban and multiplex centers.

Domestic Collections Show Impressive Growth

Border 2 earned ₹224.25 crore net in its first week, including ₹59 crore on Republic Day. On Friday, it bounced back with ₹10.75 crore and surged 65% on Saturday, collecting ₹17.75 crore net. This raised the total domestic net to ₹252.25 crore (₹303 crore gross). Analysts credit the growth to strong word-of-mouth and patriotic appeal.

Global Performance and Overseas Collections

The film performed well overseas, though weekday collections slowed. After nine days, Border 2 has earned over $5 million abroad, taking its global total to ₹350 crore. With its momentum, the film is now on track to cross the ₹400 crore mark. It has overtaken recent patriotic hits, including Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter (₹344 crore) and Aditya Dhar’s Uri (₹342 crore), becoming one of 2026’s top-grossing Indian films.

Production and Future Plans

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 also stars Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, and Anya Singh. Following the film’s success, T-Series confirmed plans for Border 3, though no other details have been shared. Combining star power, patriotic storytelling, and high-octane action, Border 2 has dominated the box office and set the stage for its sequel.
