BJP Hits Back at Rahul Gandhi Over ‘Surrender’ Jibe at PM Modi: Says ‘His Heart Beats for Pakistan

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly criticized Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi for alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi “surrendered” to US pressure during the India-Pakistan military standoff following Operation Sindoor. Rahul Gandhi’s claim that PM Modi backed down after a call from then-US President Donald Trump has triggered a sharp political backlash and reignited the debate over India’s foreign policy decisions during times of military tension.

BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari accused Rahul Gandhi of siding with anti-India sentiments, stating that “Rahul Gandhi’s heart beats for Pakistan”. Bhandari said that such comments from the Congress MP reflect his values and disrespect the dignity of the Prime Minister. He called the remarks indecent and claimed that they expose Rahul Gandhi’s loyalty and mindset during sensitive national matters.
Bhandari further credited PM Modi for delivering a strong response to Pakistan’s terror operations, emphasizing that the Modi government has consistently maintained a tough stance on cross-border terrorism. “From Salman Khurshid to Shashi Tharoor, every Congress leader seems to echo the same narrative, and even Pakistan is picking up on it. The people of India see this uncivilised Rahul Gandhi as playing into Pakistan’s hands, damaging national unity,” he added.
