Bhooth Bangla Release Date Advanced: Akshay Kumar’s Film to Arrive Early

Fans are eagerly waiting to see Akshay Kumar return to the horror-comedy genre with Bhooth Bangla. Earlier, Balaji Motion Pictures had announced that the film would release in May 2026. However, the makers have now revised the schedule once again. On February 7, they confirmed that the movie will hit theatres earlier than planned, on April 10, 2026. Notably, the film marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after nearly 14 years, raising expectations among fans and industry observers alike.

Teaser Hints at New Release Date

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar revealed the updated release date through a creative teaser on social media. The short clip featured a black cat scratching a calendar page marked “May.” Soon after, the calendar flipped to April, with milk spilling over the page highlighting the date “10.” As a result, fans quickly decoded the message. In his caption, Akshay wrote, “Bhooth Bangla ka countdown rewind! 15 May ❌, 10 April ✅. Milte hain theatres mein.” Consequently, the post went viral, drawing massive engagement and excitement across platforms.

Makers Explain Reason Behind Date Change

Furthermore, the producers issued an official statement explaining the decision. According to them, the shift aims to secure a favourable theatrical window and avoid heavy box-office competition. By moving the release forward, the team hopes to give the film sufficient screen time and better visibility. In addition, Akshay Kumar has reportedly ensured that each of his upcoming films receives proper theatrical exposure. With several big projects lined up in 2026, this strategic move reflects careful planning and long-term vision.

Star-Studded Cast and Big Expectations

Apart from Akshay Kumar, Bhooth Bangla features an impressive ensemble cast including Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Mithila Palkar, Jisshu Sengupta, and Asrani. Producer Ektaa Kapoor also expressed her excitement, calling the project a long-awaited reunion. Moreover, the film, produced by Balaji Telefilms and Cape of Good Films, wrapped shooting in May last year across Rajasthan, Jaipur, and Hyderabad. With Priyadarshan’s direction, a strong cast, and growing fan buzz, Bhooth Bangla now stands as one of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of 2026.
