Ahaan Panday is riding high on the success of Saiyaara, his debut film that’s making waves at the box office. Adding to the celebration, filmmaker Karan Johar recently praised the film and called Ahaan’s performance “spectacular.” The praise left Ahaan deeply moved, especially since he grew up watching Karan’s films. Taking to Instagram, Ahaan reposted Karan’s review and wrote, “I grew up watching Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, I grew up to your school of cinema, and to hear this from you, I am truly shell-shocked. Thank you sir, from the bottom of my heart, a thousand times over.”

In his review, Karan called Saiyaara the best film of director Mohit Suri’s career. He praised Ahaan’s emotional performance, saying, “You broke my heart and yet energised me as a filmmaker… your eyes spoke volumes.” He also had kind words for Aneet Padda, calling her “amazing” and noting how her quiet moments and vulnerability added depth to the story. He complimented the entire cast and crew, giving a special shoutout to casting director Shanoo Sharma and the editing team.

Saiyaara tells the story of Krish Kapoor (Ahaan Panday), a hot-headed musician, and Vaani (Aneet Padda), a reserved aspiring journalist. Their love story struck a chord with audiences, thanks to their natural chemistry and a soundtrack that quickly became a fan favorite. The film is produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani and continues to earn acclaim for its storytelling and performances.
