Iran Launches New Missile Salvo
Iran fired a new wave of missiles toward Israel on Thursday night. Air-raid sirens sounded across Tel Aviv and nearby cities. Residents rushed to shelters as explosions echoed across the city.
The Israeli military confirmed that its air defence systems intercepted several missiles. Iranian state media said the attack formed part of a larger retaliatory operation. Authorities did not report any immediate casualties. However, the renewed strikes increased fears of a prolonged conflict.
Israel Intensifies Strikes on Iran
Israel continued its large-scale military operations across Iran. The Israeli Air Force targeted several military and government sites. Officials said Israeli forces have dropped more than 5,000 bombs on Iranian targets since the conflict began.
Explosions hit eastern Tehran and the port city of Bandar Abbas. The city hosts key naval facilities and strategic infrastructure. Israeli officials said these strikes aim to weaken Iran’s military capabilities.

Hezbollah Targets Also Hit
Israeli forces also launched strikes on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. The attacks targeted Beirut’s southern suburb of Dahiyeh. Authorities issued evacuation warnings before the strikes began.
Lebanon’s health ministry confirmed three deaths in a separate strike near Beirut’s airport highway. Israel said it plans to continue operations against groups backed by Iran.
Conflict Spreads Across the Region
The conflict has begun to affect neighbouring countries. Azerbaijan reported that two Iranian drones entered its territory. The drones injured two civilians and damaged infrastructure near Nakhchivan.
Turkey intercepted a ballistic missile that entered its airspace from Iran. Meanwhile, shipping companies suspended some routes through the Strait of Hormuz. The Omani navy rescued 24 sailors after missiles struck a container ship near the busy oil route.
Global Leaders React
World leaders have expressed concern over the escalating conflict. US President Donald Trump said Iran had become “out of control.” He defended the strikes and said they aim to protect Israel.
Iranian leaders accused the United States and Israel of military aggression. They said Iran would continue to defend its sovereignty.
Security experts warn that continued missile attacks could destabilize the wider Middle East.
