India Will Respond’: Congress Leader Warns Pakistan After Drone Sightings Near Border.

Senior Congress leader and senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Friday issued a stern warning to Pakistan after fresh reports of suspected drone sightings near the India–Pakistan border. According to security inputs, the incidents showed a clear and repeated pattern. Notably, Singhvi linked the sightings to Pakistan’s long-standing tactics. He said the activity resurfaced soon after India’s counter-terror action, Operation Sindoor. As a result, authorities tightened security across Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Rajasthan.

‘This Is Hostility by Design,’ Says Singhvi

Reacting on X, Singhvi said Pakistan had returned to its “old playbook.” In particular, he referred to drone movements reported across Jammu and Kashmir just days after Operation Sindoor. However, Singhvi stressed that the incidents did not occur by chance. “This is not provocation by accident, but hostility by design,” he said. Moreover, he warned that India remained alert to any escalation. “India is watching. And India will respond!” Singhvi added, reflecting wider political concern over repeated drone activity along the western border.

Rajasthan, Jammu Drone Sightings Raise Alarm

Earlier this week, security agencies detected a suspicious drone in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district. According to police officials, the drone flew near a gas-based thermal power plant close to the international border. Subsequently, authorities launched an investigation. Officials also reminded residents that flying drones in the district remains strictly prohibited without prior approval. Meanwhile, defence sources reported two drone sightings in the Jammu sector. In response, the Indian Army activated counter-UAS measures to address any potential threat.

High Alert Along LoC as Surveillance Increases

Additionally, security agencies increased vigilance in Rajouri and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Over the past few days, local residents reported repeated drone movements. According to defence sources, sightings occurred on consecutive days earlier this week in the Naushera–Rajouri sector along the Line of Control. Consequently, authorities intensified patrols and surveillance in sensitive zones.
