Sunjay, a well-known businessman, reportedly suffered a heart attack while playing polo in England. He was 53 years old. The couple had been married for over a decade before officially divorcing in 2016.
Karisma Kapoor’s close friends Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora also paid a late-night visit to her home to offer condolences. Videos show Malaika dressed in a beige outfit, looking visibly emotional as she stood behind a glass door speaking with family. Another clip captured her seated in a car with Amrita’s son, attempting to avoid paparazzi. Kareena and Saif were also seen shielding their faces from cameras as they entered Karisma’s residence.
The news of Sunjay Kapur’s death was confirmed by author and businessman Suhel Seth on X (formerly Twitter), who wrote, “Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur… a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and colleagues @sonacomstar. Om Shanti.” The sudden demise of the 53-year-old industrialist has left many shocked, especially those close to the Kapoor family.
Karisma Kapoor married Sunjay Kapur in 2003, and the couple had two children together. In 2010, Karisma moved back to Mumbai from Delhi, and the couple officially filed for divorce in 2014. Their separation was finalized in 2016 after a prolonged legal process. Following their divorce, Sunjay Kapur married model and entrepreneur Priya Sachdev, with whom he shares a son.
