Bhubaneswar, Zoom Chronicle News: Over 95 German Shepherds kicked off the opening day of the 67th, 68th, and 69th All Breeds All India Championship Dog Show at the OUAT Veterinary College ground on Friday. The Orissa Kennel Club (OKC), together with the Kennel Club of India (KCI), organized this national-level event. It highlighted top-tier agility, obedience, and breed quality. Dog enthusiasts, breeders, and visitors from across India attended. OUAT Vice-Chancellor Pravat Kumar Roul inaugurated the ceremony, and German canine expert Jochen Prall judged the first show.
Exciting Events and International Judges
The three-day Bhubaneswar National Dog Show 2025 features All Breeds Championship dog shows, obedience trials, and specialty competitions. Thousands of spectators and participants are expected. Additionally, the 67th and 68th Championship Dog Shows will open on Sunday with Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan in attendance. International judges Igor Vyguzov and Oleg Vasilyev from Russia will evaluate all entries. Their presence ensures the event meets global standards of canine excellence.

Record Participation and Growing Popularity
OKC President and German Shepherd Dog Confederation (Kalinga Chapters) Secretary Subrat Prusti said, “For over three decades, OKC has organized annual National Level Dog Shows, the only Kennel Club of India-approved championship events in Odisha. This year, we received over 300 entries, setting a record. Furthermore, the event shows the rising interest in canine sports in Odisha. It also encourages competitive dog breeding and training.”
