Former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede has sued Netflix and Red Chillies over Aryan Khan’s debut series The Ba**ds of Bollywood*.
The Delhi High Court has issued notices after Wankhede claimed the show defames him by portraying a cop similar to his 2021 drug bust role.

The court earlier dismissed his plea but allowed a revised petition. Wankhede’s lawyer said the series led to trolling of his family online.
The satire, directed by Aryan Khan, shows a cop raiding a Bollywood party — a plot many link to Aryan’s own high-profile arrest in 2021.
Wankhede argues the show was made to damage his image, while the case raises debate over free expression, satire, and defamation in cinema.
