War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, and Jr NTR, faced some last-minute edits before its release on the eve of Independence Day. One of the notable changes was a 9-second cut from Kiara Advani’s bikini scene in the song “Aava Jaava,” following a directive from the Central Board of Certification (CBFC) to reduce sensual content by half, according to Bollywood Hungama. While the CBFC didn’t specifically mention the bikini scene, it was reportedly trimmed to tone down the visuals.

An industry insider revealed that the film was cleared by the Revising Committee (RC), not the Examining Committee (EC), which likely requested several changes. The RC, chaired by Padma Shri Ramesh Patange, is known for approving films after the EC raises concerns, often with some modifications. This isn’t the first time the RC has stepped in to clear films that initially faced objections.
War 2 is the sequel to the 2019 hit War and marks the first collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, known for his romantic films, the movie promises a mix of high-octane action and philosophical moments. Hrithik shared a heartfelt post on Instagram after wrapping up the 149-day shoot, expressing pride in the hard work put into the project. The film is set to hit theaters on August 14.
