There has been a lot of excitement about the possibility of Priyanka Chopra appearing in a special dance number in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming epic period drama, Love & War, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Fans are eager to see a grand performance filled with Bhansali’s trademark grandeur. However, a source close to the director has completely denied these rumors, calling them the “absurdest rumour in the history of Bollywood gossip.”
The insider explained that although Priyanka had done a special song in Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raas Leela: Ram Leela as a favor, there was a fallout when a promised lead role did not materialize, making her involvement in Love & War unlikely.
On the other hand, another insider told Hindustan Times that discussions are underway for Priyanka to feature in a high-energy special number, and her recent social media activity might hint at something upcoming. If this happens, it would mark a major return for Priyanka to Hindi cinema alongside Bhansali, who directed one of her most memorable dance sequences, “Ram Chahe Leela.”
Love & War is currently being filmed and is expected to release on March 20, 2026. Meanwhile, Priyanka is also confirmed to star in SSMB29, a much-anticipated action-adventure by SS Rajamouli. With conflicting reports, only time will tell if Priyanka will indeed reunite with Bhansali on screen.
