This morning, social media lit up with buzz around Aneet Padda’s next project after Saiyaara. Reports claimed that the Gen Z breakout star would be seen next in a streaming film directed by Nitya Mehra and her husband Karan Kapadia. However, industry insiders clarified that the project, titled Nyaya, was actually filmed before Aneet signed on for Saiyaara.
According to a source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, Aneet is firmly positioned as a big-screen star for YRF. “Nyaya was shot before Saiyaara and won’t impact her future as a theatrical lead. She’s 22, on the verge of delivering a ₹400 crore blockbuster, and is being seen as a true Gen Z icon. The studio has major plans to shape her as the face of a generation, and that can only happen by focusing on theatrical releases,” the source said.
As for Saiyaara, the Mohit Suri-directed film also marking Ahaan Panday’s debut—has already crossed the ₹200 crore mark in India within just nine days of its release.
