While promoting his upcoming Kannada film KD The Devil in Mumbai, Sanjay Dutt opened up about his growing involvement in South Indian cinema. At an event in Mumbai alongside co-stars Shilpa Shetty and Dhruva Sarja, he shared why he is now choosing to work more in southern film industries than in Bollywood. Sanjay expressed that Bollywood has lost its passion for filmmaking, emphasizing that “everything is about numbers” there, whereas South Indian cinema still prioritizes the passion to create meaningful films.

Sanjay also spoke warmly about his experience working with Prabhas in the upcoming film The Raja Saab, mentioning that he is learning Telugu for the project. He described Prabhas as a wonderful person and a great actor who generously looks after him. Additionally, Sanjay expressed admiration for Chiranjeevi, highlighting their close relationship, and referred to Nagarjuna and Ram Pothineni as close friends and talented colleagues.

Addressing the delay in his entry into South Indian films, Sanjay candidly noted that it took time because he was not initially invited to work there. He humorously remarked, “You call me, I’ll come,” indicating his openness to more opportunities in the Southern film industries going forward.
