Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her Karachi apartment in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase VI on Tuesday, July 8. Her body, discovered by police in a decomposed state, is believed to have been there for nearly two weeks. The discovery followed a complaint from her landlord regarding unpaid rent and unsuccessful attempts to contact her. Upon receiving a court order, police forced entry into the locked apartment, which emitted a strong foul odor.

confirmed that the apartment was locked from the inside, with no immediate signs of foul play at the scene. Forensic experts collected evidence, and Humaira’s body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for further examination. Dr. Summaiya Syed, a police surgeon, noted the advanced decomposition and stated that the cause of death remains undetermined pending the postmortem report. The police are actively investigating and attempting to trace her relatives through her mobile phone records.
Humaira had been living alone in the rented apartment and was reportedly several months behind on rent payments. She was known for her work in ARY’s reality show Tamasha Ghar and the 2015 film Jalaibee. Beyond acting and modeling, Humaira identified as a theatre artist, painter, sculptor, and fitness enthusiast, with a significant social media presence boasting over 713,000 followers. Her last Instagram post, dated September 30, 2024, featured a series of candid photographs.
